College coaches, administrators, and big time "boosters" have been cheating as long as there have been college athletics.
The last two times Alex Wood has pitched, the Braves offense has given him exactly ZERO runs in support. Alex is good (35 strikeouts, 1.54 ERA), but not even he can hold an opposing team to negative runs.
It's great to have HR sluggers on the team. However, Braves need more support from singles and doubles hitters to drive in runs when HR bats go silent.
Kudos to Cueto and Teheran for a superb pitching duel Sunday. Truly exciting game. And thank you Freddie F. for the grand finale.
How SWEEP IT IS...
Freddie Freddie Freddie...
I can't believe you people are so committed to your season tickets that you repeatedly pay full price for preseason games and, this year, you're paying for a "home" game that's across the ocean.
Didn't they say pitching was going to be the Braves' problem early this season?
What's up with the injuries in MLB? It seems that five or six players go on the DL everyday. I thought these guys were supposed to be in shape so they wouldn't pull a hammy running the bases.
I don't know which company I dislike more - DISH or Fox Sports South for blacking out our Braves games. You deserve each other!
Two months ago, everybody was worried that the Braves didn't have a No. 1 starter. Well, it appears that they have 2 or 3 No. 1's. Maybe 4. Possibly 5.
Last time I checked, the number of wins a team has is more important than the number of singles, doubles, strikeouts, or home runs. We are 17-7 for crying out loud!
College athletics are money making enterprises, there are no "student athletes" all of them think they are going to make big money in the pros.
Even if the Pacers luck out and win the series against the Hawks, they will want no part of the Miami Heat pain again.
I'd rather watch the kids play baseball at the park than any pro ball game.
thank goodness for Freddie or else we'd be a .500 team
Even though the Braves are winning it is still impossible for me to watch an entire game because of all the strike-outs.
In Sunday's game, with five players (six, counting the pitcher) with below .250 batting averages in the line-up, the Braves ought to be in last place.
