The Braves and Falcons leaving perfectly good stadiums to build new ones is solid proof we pay way too much for game tickets.
Kasim Reed will forever be known as the mayor who let the Atlanta Braves leave his city - and forced two churches to relocate for the Falcons new stadium.
Not sure why there's so much negativity about the Braves moving to Cobb County. It makes sense to move closer to most of your fan base.
It really does not matter where the Braves play. They will still win 90 regular season games and lose in the first round of the playoffs.
Can't understand destroying Turner Field. The move seems the perfect solution for Georgia State to have a stadium. Probably enough space to add a basketball arena and baseball field. The Braves will still be in Atlanta. Why must they be downtown?
I think it is still in the city of Atlanta that is part of Cobb County. So they will probably still be called the Atlanta Braves. Realistically traffic is bad all over Atlanta during any game day.
As a Cobb County resident--I'm totally against county taxpayers subsidizing Liberty Media. I vote no!!
How many more teachers will Cobb have to furlough to help pay for the new stadium?
April 2017, Braves price list: Tickets $75.00- $150.00 ea., BEER $15.00, Hot Dog $12.50, Fries $9.75, Parking $45.00. I Hope you folks enjoy your game...
The Braves move should be a boom for counties north of Cobb as residents leave to avoid higher taxes again.
As a businessman I'm amazed the Braves made a decision to move, and announced it, before signing a deal with Cobb County.
The Braves can play in Atlanta, Cobb, Gwinnett or wherever - they still won't be playing after the first round of the playoffs.
Hey, Braves - Cobb County isn't far enough north. It needs to be OUTSIDE the perimeter by about 30 miles and north.
I'm glad the Braves are moving to Cobb, will make my commute going south a whole lot easier on game days. GO Braves! Literally!
Braves new name will probably be something like the "Cobb Gridlocks" ......
I predict the Smyrna Braves will rue their rash decision to abandon Atlanta for the 'burbs.
As a former Braves fan, I will never spend a dime in the Cobb County stadium
