What does Atlanta have to say about the Braves move? Their Turner Field lease is up and the Braves are not renewing. Simple.
So we will spends millions on a stadium we don't need for a team that doesn't deserve it, but we won't spend a dime to keep the Braves in Atlanta. Does this sound ridiculous to anyone besides me?
Yeah, I was thinking that Turner Field was really worn out after 17 years. Good grief.
As a Cobb resident, I love how all this about the Braves was done in secrecy. Now the taxpayers will foot the bill.
Great the answer the Braves Exec gave to the question about the new ball park not being near MARTA. Only 6% of fans ride MARTA to the games. I love it!
Hey Cobb Co. good luck with more traffic and higher taxes.
Where can I sign up for season tickets for 2017. I won't miss a game. Best news in awhile coming out of Atlanta.
Let's see, Boston wins a World Series in a park as old as the hills, Fenway. The Cubs have played in Wrigley for years and the White Sox have played in Cominsky Park since forever. Why does Atlanta need a ball-park that is going to cost Cobb County taxpayers a bundle either in property tax or sales tax?
Humm a baseball game in April 2017 at the intersection of 75/285. Better start now to beat the traffic.
Now the question is, how many hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars will the Braves be demanding?
Is anybody surprised about the Braves' announcement that they are leaving for Cobb County?
A new ballpark for the Braves will allow them to jack up ticket and concession prices even higher than they are now.
Hey Braves, how about spending that $600 million on keeping McCann and bringing in a No. 1 starter instead of building a new stadium that isn't needed?
I know that this is sad but looking ahead to next year, the Falcons will be loaded with draft talent and will have a weak schedule coming off a terrible season.
Memo to Cobb County: The Braves 'Twenty and Out' strategy comes due in 2036.
Eat your heart out Tech fans. George O'leary's UCF team is BCS bound.
Be careful what you wish for, Braves fans from the north metro. The result you're cheering now with soon be your albatross.
Great chance to really honor Hank Aaron by naming the new Braves stadium after him.
Will the new Braves stadium in Cobb County bring a World Series?
I heard on the noon news on Monday that the Braves were moving to Cobb County. I immediately E-mailed my commissioner, the commissioner where the stadium is to be built and the commission chairman to voice my opposition to taxpayer money being used for any component of the new stadium. Good luck on that!
I am an Atlanta Braves fan. Not a Cobb County Braves fan.
The people in Cobb County, who allow the Braves stadium be built there, are fools. Call your Commissioners and tell them NO now!
The Braves should have moved to Gwinnett County. Cobb County is just as bad as down town Atlanta.
Will the Braves be changing their name to the Cobb County Braves?
