I got an unexpected refund in the mail. When I went to cash the check my wife wanted to know what we were going to do with the "free cash". We went to our Save-A-Lot store and paid for 2 families groceries. The happiness we saw in their faces was so worth it.
My Mother passed away 2 weeks ago. She was such a great Lady. We were so lucky to have had her. When we were going through her things today we found she had kept every picture , letter , card from each of the children and grandchildren ,neatly stacked and in order. She loved us as much as we loved her.
I plan on fixing our Volunteer Firemen and women and the EMTs a special meal the 2nd weekend of December, for an early Christmas Dinner. They work so hard with very little thanks. We are so proud of you.
Busy time for people in the service industry so tip good and show your appreciation for their hard work!
I sang in our Church choir this morning for the first time. I was really scared but I felt the Good Lord just pushing me. I started singing like I have never sang before. I didn't even know I could. I know it had to be the Good Lord doing the singing. I was as amazed as the other people in the church. Thank you Jesus. It felt so good.
My collards have perked up so much with this rain. I'm going to pick a HUGE mess of them in the morning. I can't wait any longer.
This year we are going to get things my parents really need. You opened my eyes to how selfish we have been. Money will be coming to them every month from all of their children. Thank you Unvent Family you made us open our eyes and our hearts.
To the ventor who got all he could for a measly $75. You took gross advantage of that family's hard work, and karma will get you for it. Enjoy your 'good deal' while you can, cheapskate.
Sadly, stepchildren can be such con artists to their biological parents and frequently "play them off " against each other.
One of my stepsons is just like your 13 year-old stepdaughter.....he only has to say one word to his Dad, and good old Dad "jumps" wherever he says. I do wish his father would wake up and see what is going on.
If you can't afford a gift for someone, make them a clever coupon book for such things as running errands, babysitting kids or pets, doing yard work, giving them veggies from your next garden. Gifts come in many forms.
My wife just spent $200 for our Thanksgiving Dinner. I would be mad but she is such a good cook I would give her every penny I had just to eat her Thanksgiving Dinner. She is such a good cook that our friends invite themselves to dinner.
I can't wait for Thanksgiving. My wife has just told me she was smoking 2 turkeys and a ham. Both of our families are coming to the best Thanksgiving Dinner in the state of Ga. YaHoo !!!!!
Several folks I know, friends and family, went to the doctor last winter and were diagnosed with the flu, even though they got the shot. None of my family or friends who didn't get the shot got the flu. Sad, but not a surprise.
We do a gift swap for our extended family. Put a limit on the cost and play some game with them, everyone draws a number, your turn you either take a gift someone else has opened and they get to go again or you open a new one, first person gets to go again at the end. Third time a gift is "stolen" that gift is frozen and can not be "stolen" again.
