I am 74 yrs old and believe saying "no" to your kids is the hardest thing you can do. It may be best but it is still hard.....
Thank you to the HCPD officer who was called to my 16 yr old daughter's accident. He dealt with a hysterical teenager with calmness and understanding.
I really don't think it's self-centered to credit the Lord for helping me with things.It's very comforting to know He's there when I need Him.
Isn't it nice to have a loving family to come home to.

My 18 year old daughter too is driving the interstates. She's already driven to Atlanta from Henry County several times and this week she drove to her brother's in Dallas 1 1/2 hours away. I'm glad that she's not afraid of the interstates but I pray for her safety everyday!
My husband's birthday is today.I bought him an inch thick prime ribeye and going to cook it on the grill just like he likes it.
While on a little trip to the mountains this weekend my husband rescued 7 turtles trying to cross the road.I don't think I have ever seen that many on one trip.
My son bought me a great push mower for Mothers Day.I still like to mow my yard and I'm 74.Only thing is I have to have one that is easy to start.
I have been working 2 jobs lately and just haven't had time to work my garden in over 6 weeks.When I finially got a day off today I went out to the garden fully expecting it to have died.It has grown so well without me.Lots of weeds also but beautiful bug free vegtable plants. Thank you Jesus for we really need those vegtables this year.
My sister can grow anything and always has a great garden.She said she learned everything she knows from her 93 year old neighbor.

I learned to crochet in my late 30's and made everthing under the sun. Haven't done it in years, and now at age 60, don't even remember how to do it anymore. I'd love to learn again.
