Could it be that someone thinks we are all old geezers here because we have morals, and manners, and all those other "old fashioned" things many people today have given up??
Just got through making the last payment on our car today. Now we are going to save that payment until our good old car dies.Hopefully by that time we will be able to buy a new one.
Even though I grew up in a upper middle class neighborhood, my parents only bought us what we needed, not what we wanted. It sure helped me as I got older.
When someone asks you to pray for them, they are not whining or dragging you down with them. They are simply asking for your support during a difficult time in their lives. Have some compassion, dude.
My youngest of four graduated with her Masters in December. Been paying tuition nonstop since 96. Four kids and five degrees!! I just got a raise. Life continues to be good.

Your daughter may be missing out for not talking to your granddaughter, but the important thing is, she has you.
Who made you boss of the rules of the Unvent?? I see you were voted down pretty good, so get off your high horse.
My wife and I have a small reminder in a place where we see it many times each day. "The Best Things In Life Are Not Things"
I watched the big dog show where the little dog won and it was great. P.S. I see winning dogs every day just walking around and they just love attention too.
I have two nieces who are adults now. They both said, I was a lot easier to talk to than their moms. I always made sure, I was there to listen, never judge, and give advice, if I felt they were making decisions that might get them in trouble.
I read that when ever you are alone, you're not, you can always talk to Jesus.
The Monday Unvent has a 3 way tie at 78 votes each as I write this. Let's vote again and break that tie.
