Happiness is having a husband that likes to tell you jokes.
I doubled the value of my old pick-up truck yesterday. I filled the tank with gas.
I only carry my cell phone for emergencies, like if I have car trouble or the school calls me when my child is injured. My family knows only to call me on it for emergencies, too. I don't give that number out to friends. That makes my cell phone a useful tool, not a nuisance.
My husband has been teaching our kids how to bowl.At first the thought only nerds went bowling now they love it.It's a good family sport.
I saw a man yasterday that was dressed as Superman out jogging in Marietta.I couldn't help but smile. He was smiling and giving a little wave to everyone that smiled at him. That lightened up the day.
Shed a few tears and thanked God when I heard the 5 year old in Alabama was safe!
I sure wish I would win on a scratch off ticket.I couldn't win if I bought ALL the tickets.
Nothing like taking a nice long shower on a cold winter night. It warms my poor old bones.
Never interrupt someone doing what you said could not be done.
My husband is going to get a big steak for supper since he vacuumed the house for me today. That is one good man.
Unventer, my brother did the same thing. He retired from the Air Force and the Reserves. He also took early retirement from GM when they closed the plant where he worked. He takes home more money than when he was working. Wish I had done that. I was lazy.
Went to check on my Mother today.I couldn't believe it when I saw her breaking her colt. She has raised him from a baby. She said he has never tried to buck ,bite or kick so I hope she doesn't get hurt. She is 70 years old.I admire her.
If you want nice neighbors you are going to have to move to a small town.We moved to Jasper,Ga. and everyone is so friendly. This was was well worth the drive we have to do for work.My children just love it here.
I felt kind of strange Sunday afternoon at Publix.I was the only one that didn't have chicken wings and beer in their buggy so I went back and got some of their fantastic fried chicken and a 12 pack of coke. Now I can party tonight also.
I saw a chipmunk out today.I thought they slept all winter. It was getting acorns in its mouth and fighting with the bluejays.
I just love to see all the birds in the yard now.I've got 5 birdfeeders and have to refill them almost everyday.I was really surprised on how much thet drink and that they take baths when it gets in the 60's.
Nothing like a big bowl of hot brunswick stew and a couple of pieces of garlic bread. That's a fine meal.
My daddy told me that my banana bread and meatloaf was much better than momma's. Then he always made a sandwich with the leftover meatloaf so I saved it just for him (my hubby hates leftovers). He's been gone 7 years now and meatloaf still makes me misty.
Went to the nicest church this morning. As soon as we walked in it felt like home.We have finally found our church. Thank you Jesus.
I am so glad that we raised those pigs. We have plenty of meat to last us until the fall now. It wasn't near as bad raising them as I thought. I just didn't make them pets.
Does anyone under 70 post on this?
Hey unventers, I just wanted to give you a heads up if you buy one of those huge new front loading washers, go ahead and buy the big dryer. I didn't and now I wash all my clothes in an hour or so but I have to dry them for hours afterwards. Now I'm saving for a new washer.
I wish we would get a nice big snow this year.I've put up enough groceries to last a couple of days just in case.Come on snow.
Sounds like you picked the wrong church. I hear nothing like that in my church. I feel uplifted and ready to start my week.
To the person who stopped going to church to avoid the guilt trip: You went to the wrong church. We have an awesome pastor who preaches forgiveness and the Good News of the Gospel. God bless you, Pastor John Lay!
To the person who is always trying to stir up the unvent, by telling us how wonderful he feels since he stopped going to church: We still love you, and will continue to pray for you. By the way, God is the creator of the all the nature, that you enjoy so much, and yes, life may be shorter than you think.
I go to Mass because it is my time to be one with the Lord. My priests' sermons are based on the readings for that day and how they relate to everyday life and how we can become closer to the Lord. If you are tired of being made to feel guilty maybe you should find a different faith that will give you the peace you desire.
I know a young man is in his 20's who has done nothing with his life. Dropped out of school, shoplifting and DUI, plays video games all day.. I think the Army would give him discipline and direction in his life, but am afraid to encourage it because of the Middle East. I'd feel partly to blame if he was injured or killed.
