Heck, I grew up in the late 70s early 80s and have wonderful childhood memories of the family sitting down to home-cooked meals as well as walking and talking to the neighbors.
My brother has been in the Army for 24 years and has done quite well.He went from a punk always in trouble to a very nice responsible man.He is about to retire and already has a great job lined up.I am so happy for him and his family.
My husband and I went out Sat. Night and loved having dinner together then went home and built a fire and just talked .FYI we left our cell at phones home and that was even better..
Try leaving your cell at home for a day and see how many people you talk to and have conversation with out interruption.
We knew we were done with the free kiddie meals when my son said "Dad if the corn dog is so great, you eat it".... Game over..
My father thought he was getting old so he left my Mom for a younger woman.Best thing that ever happened to my Mom.She has married a man that truly loves her and treats her like a queen.By the way that younger women left my Dad when she found out it was my Mother's money not his.Karma will get you every time.Thank the Lord.
I remember being able to fill my car up but that has been years ago.A full tank is worth more than my car is now.
Little boys and little girls love steak. Why not? It's the best thing on the menu and they don't get it very often at home.
You should see all the robins and red birds in my yard now.I have put out all kinds of bird seed for them. It's good to see them back.
Finially got my husband to have new teeth put in.I saved 2 years for them and it was worth it.He's so handsome now.Now he's glad he did it.
I stopped going to church years ago and have never been so happy. I would like to share that happiness by suggesting you stay out of some building to hear how evil you are go out and enjoy nature. Life is too short to be loaded with guilt every Sunday.
It has been so long since I went to the movies.I just can't afford it any more.Thank God for the Red Box.
Happiness is MY wife's fried chicken. It's better than any chicken I have bought out.I tell her that all the time.
I want to thank the kind people that work at the Kroger on Hwy 92 and Trickum Rd. I can't pick up heavy things so the bag them up so I can pick them up and they load them in the car for me.Sometimes it looks like I have 50 bags in the car.Not many places will do that and not complain.
Took my dog for a walk in our back pastures while it was snowing Saturday. It was just beautiful back there. We saw 4 beautiful deer near the woods.I'm glad my dog didn't get their scent because we watched them for almost an hour.
Did my taxes over the weekend...soon I will be supporting the local economy!
I made a big old pot roast today with all the sides. It's so expensive to buy a decent size roast any more that this is a treat.I'm making a LOT of gravy to stretch it a long way. Can't wait to eat.
Invited some of our friends to a Super Bowl Weekend in the mountains. We ended up having 3 inches of snow.We made so many snowmen that it looked like we had 10 kids with us.
You should have seen my horses playing in the snow Saturday. They looked so happy running and bucking like colts.
There is nothing as good as a piece of my Husband's chocolate cake.He said it was his Mother's recipe. It is so good that you end up eating 2 pieces without realizing it.
Sunday dinner at the Main Street Cafe in Boston, GA is a whole lot like turning back time. Lots of friendly folks, great conversation, and down home cooking in a setting thats as comfortable as a favorite pair of slippers... it's so worth the trip!
My happiness is knowing that my cholesterol is low because I don't eat at fast-food grease pits.
There is no such thing as a "good" snow in Georgia. It is always a dangerous inconvenience.
