I've got a friend who works for GA Power, and was asked to go to the N.E., to help restore power. Pray for him and the other workers, please.
Pray for our Nation regardless of who is in the White House, because no man is perfect, black, white, Republicans or Democrats, but God is. Pray that God will help the President and all of Congress make the best decision for all of America.
Come on, TRIPP! We are all pulling for you!
Working vacations made me think of my father. Every four years he would use his week vacation to paint the two story family home.
They didn't call your Dad's and my Dad's friends The Greatest Generation for nothing. They were and always will be. Go Sea Bees!
You CHOOSE your lessons.....you are given lessons from many sources both good and bad. It is up to you to make the correct choices and NOT duck personal responsibility.
You're supposed to honor your elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one.
I for one will be praying for our President because regardless of the individual in the White House he has a long tough road ahead of him and will need our support.
Well, the election is over. Let's get on with our lives.
Our summer vacation was making hay, and combining oats and wheat....
"... What more could a person want".. love and be loved.
You look so much better when you smile!
Ahhh the mountains, no greater peace then living for a few days with everything you need on your back in "God's country"
Shhhhhh! Oh, what the people up north would give for perfect weather like we are having. Don't tell them or they will ALL move south.
Making homemade bread is a good way to forget a bad day. All than kneading is a great stress reliever and the reward fresh out of the oven.... mmmmmm!
My treasures are not things, but people!
Wow, you must've had an amazing (and large!) garden to feed that many people! Bless you for sharing.
If you are riding horses this time of the year, wear florescent orange vests, it is deer season until January. I had deer lease once and the idiots would ride their horses on our land during deer season until the day they rode by and I popped a cap into the ground. Horses do not like loud noises. LOL!!!
I agree, people used to use their vacations, and weekends, to work around the house and their community. Nowadays they drive off to a resort or a mall while paying someone else to drive in and mow their yard and trim their trees and all the other chores.
To the new mother. My sons are 18 and 20 and I still marvel at those young men. I thank God for trusting me, and allowing me to be their mom. I thank him extra hard when they began to get on my last, middle and first nerve. Enjoy raising your little angel.
I love to hear the stories about your mothers and grandmothers and I bet they loved every minute of it. I think our young girls are being fed the wrong line about women being held back by men and yearn for careers. My mother and Grandmothers (both mine and my husband's) wouldn't have had it any other way. And we children were the beneficiaries of that mindset.
Whomever you voted for doesn't change the fact that you are a child of God and should be respected and loved. Now that the election is over let's get back to this very basic command from Jesus - - -> Love thy neighbor.
I know the cashiers are not supposed to ask for donations for charities. However, I was in Publix today and totally forgot to have my total rounded up for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Congratulations on your little girl. I do regret never having that pleasure.
I pray for the poor people of the storm.I have a feeling that the politicians up there are making it worse to better themselves.God is watching over his own.
If Bernie Marcus would have "Gifted" a stadium to Atlanta why do we have to pay an admission fee at the Georgia Aquarium???
You should post a super-yummy chocolate pudding recipe! You are making my mouth water!
