I watch our new baby girl sleeping in her bassinet and marvel that God has let us have this beautiful little girl and pray that He guides us in raising her.I didn't know you could love someone this much.
My parents "took vacations," too. They built a garage, painted the house, planted a garden, and moved a gigantic swing set into our backyard. People of their generation worked, which seems to be a foreign concept for too many people these days.
Congratulations to our 19 year old grandson Joshua for graduating from Basic Training. He is truly our Hero. God bless America
Ummm, "Happy" post election day? Maybe for some; not for all.
Arthur Blank wants us to pay for a stadium; Bernie Marcus would've gifted it to Atlanta.
My Mother worked so hard and had so many of us kids but it was when she was telling us tales from the Bible or making us laugh that her face had a glow to it like she was an angel. She loved our Father unconditionially. We always thought we were rich because we were in all the important things.
I am so glad that my Father also taught me the right way to cut wood and have a proper fire.We are are going to heat by fire this year and all his tips are coming in so handy. Our neighbor has given me all the dead trees on his property and that is really going to help.My Grandson thinks it's fun to help me.He is learning so fast.
Pray for America, God Only Knows She needs it now more than ever. Amen
Happiness is being way up in the mountains and pretty well able to substain ourselves.I'm grateful that I also started raising bees.I have a notion that we are going to be the lucky ones.
I don't think I want to live so long that I cannot be of service to others. I am old now but still doing okay and enjoying my retirement but think about being infirmed. Lord, help me always be helpful to others..
Wow, your hard-working and loving mother sounds like the stories I heard of both my grandmothers. Whenever I find myself griping about all the housework, I think of how easy I have it compared to them and feel ashamed of myself. I'm in awe of all they did for their families.
What is the one food that when you began eating it,you just can not stop? For me, it's pistachios.
Daughter just came home with a note for us..In the note she just wanted to thank us for raising Ashley to be well mannered and with a love of learning. That meant so much to us in this day and age.
A big THANK YOU to Gwinnett EMS, Gwinnet Medical Center and my church family during my recent medical emergency. God bless all of you.
Our Father worked in the mines also.He would come home almost black with coal dust.On the weekends he would shoe horses for people. My Mother helped him shoe horses and became very good at it but would not do it without my Father around. It wasn't considered a woman's work to do it alone.
Actually, you don't learn from the lessons you "choose". You learn from the lessons you're given.
It must have been in the air! I made pancakes and bacon for dinner!
If you use pineapple INSTEAD of bananas, wouldn't that make it pineapple pudding??
Try strawberries instead of bananas in your pudding. YUM! .
Sorry, there are expiration dates--not on birth certificates though. They are called insurance company life expectancy tables.
I am glad to support and be proud of our President!
