I watch our new baby girl sleeping in her bassinet and marvel that God has let us have this beautiful little girl and pray that He guides us in raising her.I didn't know you could love someone this much.

My parents "took vacations," too. They built a garage, painted the house, planted a garden, and moved a gigantic swing set into our backyard. People of their generation worked, which seems to be a foreign concept for too many people these days.

My Mother worked so hard and had so many of us kids but it was when she was telling us tales from the Bible or making us laugh that her face had a glow to it like she was an angel.She loved our Father unconditionially.We always thought we were rich because we were in all the important things.

Our Father worked in the mines also.He would come home almost black with coal dust.On the weekends he would shoe horses for people.My Mother helped him shoe horses and became very good at it but would not do it without my Father around.It wasn't considered a woman's work to do it alone.
