If the Atlanta Falcons want a new stadium, they should pay for 100% of it! Property owners and taxpayers cannot afford it!
The United States has the wealthiest poor people in the world!
I would rather see taxes raised to pay higher teacher salaries, than raised to build a new football stadium.
Why do rich Senators and CEOs talk about raising the age of Social Security? Something else that will affect us but not them!
You can't always count on the weather, but you can always count on the media to promote Black Friday as if the entire world will collapse if we don't get out and shop for stuff we don't need.
Please be considerate of all employees that have to work on the holidays, not just retail workers.
Think of all the police, firemen, EMTs, hospital staff, grocery store clerks, [Oh, I forgot something!] bus, train, taxi drivers and pilots who are out there working for your benefit, and QUIT your complaining!!
Saw the president of Goldman Sachs on TV giving economic advice. If they're so smart why did we have to bail them out?
Went to Cirque this past weekend and when the second intermission started EVERYONE reached for their cellphone. REALLY? People, it had been only an hour without checking your phone! How many emails and texts could you have missed?
Chris Christie's putting people before party will do more to make me consider voting Republican than all the talking heads and Super PAC mud slinging they can come up with.
We removed all art, music and creative endeavors from our schools, but kept all the violent games like football and we wonder why we are living in an increasingly insensitive, uncaring, violent society. Drivers on Old Milton Parkway, please can you give a small wave to show some appreciation when someone lets you in traffic? Thanks.
My dog would make a great watchdog, but she just can't stay awake that long.
You don't think alcohol is a killer drug? Have you driven around some of these drunks in Atlanta?
Grady Hospital started as a charity hospital and still is. Perhaps Americans a century ago were more compassionate and less greedy.
Snooki book? What is a Snooki?
We need to continue to talk about the election and the fraud that happened all over this country until we have fair and transparent elections.
The only national holidays now are celebrated in the mall.
Clayton County claims the lowest millage rate; but makes up for it in negative publicity. [Schools, courts, crime rate, fill in the blanks....]
My first clear thought on Thanksgiving morning was that I would miss Furman Bisher's "Thankful" column for the first time in my life. I'm thankful the AJC revived it for 2012. R.I.P. Furman!
I wonder who paid for the parties Jill Kelley hosted?
Capitalism is built on consuming more than we need. Four pounds of ads in the paper are definitely more than I need.
Think of the outrage, if you couldn't get gas to put in the car to go to Grandma's for Thanksgiving, as opposed to NOT having to actually shop on that day---there is a difference.
Nice neighbor using a leaf blower at 8:30 AM on Thanksgiving morning. Get a clue dude!
