Why is it nearly impossible to get a good meal and conversation from friends in a restaurant without loud music in the background? Why can't the music be turned down to allow me to enjoy my company?
Neither I nor my wife nor my son were 'once somebody's crying 2-year old'. We all learned early on that crying and carrying on in public was not appropriate behavior and was not tolerated.
I think Walmart should start paging those parents: "To the parent of the crying child, please step outside and return when your precious darling feels better"
Sure, I was once someone's crying two year-old - AT HOME.
If you think a 20-minute speech by the president will indoctrinate your child, you must not be spending much time with him.

I understand that the content of the president's message was positive, but if anyone thinks it was done for any other reason than to raise his poll numbers, you are fooling yourself.
MARTA could run the Beltline? Yeah right. Why? Don't they want people to use it? The 1996 Atlanta Olympic Committee did an excellent job running MARTA, get them to run it.

The president spoke to the nation's schoolkids Tuesday and the sun came up Wednesday morning. Sure didn't see that coming.

The students addressed /or not addressed by President Obama will not vote until they are 21 years old. Do these anti-parents not understand that children learn the most when they read and hear all sides.
