Thanks for hustling no matter what, Matt Diaz
Hanson has been suggested as a closer. Some suggestion are too dumb to recognize. This is one of them.
This should say it all on the Proctor signing: "Proctor has converted only one of his 15 career save opportunities."
Keep the Fabulous 4 (Hanson, Jurrjens, Vasquez & Hudson) at all costs. Trade anybody else.
I predict Matt Diaz's hustle will be rewarded with a platoon-situation with the Braves or a new uniform in 2010.
Can we get some hitters this year? Can't do it all with pitching.
Here we go again. Let's sign every player who has been hurt and is coming off major elbow surgeries.
In addition to a couple of big bats, the Braves also need a lead-off hitter. McLouth isn't it.
It isn't Francoeur's ability, it's his attitude!
Give D. Lowe some slack. He did win 15 games. I bet you see a different pitcher next year with a lower ERA. 20 wins will be possible.
For Bobby Cox's 3-run homer philosophy to work, you have to have runners on base first. That's a problem.
The last time I checked the Braves went 10-8 and generally out hit the Phillies... the offense isn't THAT bad.
If Schafer's wrist is OK and his batting eye returns, it's time for Diaz to move back to left field.
Keep Vazquez, trade Cox.
Watching the Phillies and Yankees hitters makes one really realize how pathetic the Braves offense is.
The Braves sign a reliever already- it's like an early Christmas present. Then I unwrapped it and- can I return it now?
Maybe we should bring Noc-A-Homa back. Can't hurt.
Hey Phillies we just signed Proctor. Are you scared?
A healthy Schafer could be what the Braves need in left field.
Vazquez ahould be the last pitcher traded, not the first. Trade him and I become a Nats fan.
Noc-A-Homa's son, Hit-A-Single, can come back also, and bring his kids, Buncha-Rookies.
If Schafer is the answer, PLEASE don't ask the question.
I think Hudson has a huge upside, but I remember once thinking that about Hampton as well.
I figure it will take Bobby until next August to figure out you can't put your weakest hitter in the 3 hole.
Lowe going somewhere else? 10-4.
