Just up the payroll and keep our pitching. I'm tired of having a half of a team.
Just get a darn power hitter!
Best Case Scenerio:The Braves sign a big time power hitter. Worst Case Scenerio: Braves keep Greg Norton on the 25-man roster.
So the Braves plan to improve the offense, huh? Well, being interested in the likes of Mike Cameron and Corey Hart says otherwise.
I think a consistent offense this year gets us to the playoffs
Braves fans--Be prepared for 2010 because the team of the '90s is coming back.
It's amazing! Wren's willing to spend close to $100 million on pitching but won't pay more than $7 million for offense.
Josh Willingham? Mike Cameron? Mark DeRosa? Pass. Pass. Pass.
Josh Willingham? Don't the Braves have enough .265 hitters and oft-injured players?
Xavier Nady is a good fit and should be cheaper than Bay or Holliday.
If Terry wants to be Braves' manager, he should be in the minors getting experience, not taking pointers from Bobby Cox.
Did I hear Mark DeRosa's name mentioned as a possible purchase? Stop it already with the recycled players.
I wonder how many teams are making big offers to free agent Greg Norton, other than little league teams.
Wren trying to replace Norton with Andruw Jones? Please tell me it ain't so!
If people who balance their checkbooks still ran MLB teams, star players' salaries would never have exceeded $1,000,000/yr.
Has anyone heard anything about Nate McLouth. Is he our starting center fielder next year?
I notice that Bobby is keeping his crazy managing plans to himself after the KJ announcement.
It's that time of year again -- the annual Braves free agent giveaway.
If Bobby had allowed Hanson to remain in that game to complete his complete game shutout, that may have garnered him enough votes to win ROY!!
So I see it's becoming clear that Wren's going to use Jason Heyward as an excuse not to get the power-hitter this team needs. Horrible mistake.
The Wren way: Sell Lowe; Buy High.
Between Willingham and Chipper we will have ONE full-time hitter and two and a half salaries. Good idea...
WHAT!? No "Manager of the Year" votes for Bobby Cox?
I sure hope Wren doesn't offer Mike Hampton big bucks to come warm Atlanta's bench.
Did you think the ratings were distributed honestly? If so, Hanson WOULD have won. Politics in baseball, as well as everywhere else in this crooked old world.
