Good for Huddy! He really wants to remain a Brave and I sure hope the brass appreciates this and signs him up long term.
Why is Prado just the frontrunner to get the everyday 2nd base job? What more does he possibly have to prove?
Rockies played horrible, Dodgers played horrible, Cardinals played horrible; the Braves may have made it to the World Series, but it was that whole business of getting into the playoffs first.
Let's give the Braves credit for the one good trade they made in the last 5 years - Renteria for Jurrjens.
Part of our problem was that we had .300 hitters at the bottom of the lineup and .260 hitters leading off and batting 3rd.
We don't need a "players manager" or "fans manager". We need a WINNING manager.
I hope the Braves didn't trade for LaRoche to let him leave by way of free agency.
Keep our pitchers and sign some hitters. It takes both to win a World Series.
Compare the Braves' starting eight to the Yankees, Angels, Dodgers and Phillies, and much work remains for Frank Wren.
Wren's task now is to put together an offense that can compete with the Phillies'--and not cannibalize the pitching to do it.
A little more Matt Diaz would go a long way.
Looks like the Rockies' closers caught a Kolb.
Thanks for hustling no matter what, Matt Diaz
Keep LaRoche. We'll let him report to spring training in January, by April he will be in his midseason form.
Hanson has been suggested as a closer. Some suggestion are too dumb to recognize. This is one of them.
I've been a Braves fan since they moved here and trust me I have seen BAD. This year's team was great compared to some of those.
The Braves have a good opportunity this winter to make the needed improvements to put the team back into the pennant race for next season. Here's hoping Wren takes care of business.
Sure, players love to play for Cox. Where else can you go and play below your level, consistently fail, and still get a "high five" from your manager?
Saw where the Braves cut some pitchers. Is Norton still on the roster? If so, why?
This should say it all on the Proctor signing: "Proctor has converted only one of his 15 career save opportunities."
Next year is only five months away...man I miss the Braves!
Everyone that wants to trade for Uggla and do something else with Prado are idiots!
Stop whining about Braves' ownership. The Marlins have two world championships with payrolls a fraction of what Braves have.
Sorry, guys. It'll take more than one power hitter to improve the lineup. A leadoff hitter, more speed and discipline at the plate would go a long way.
Braves have a first baseman that can field and hit. Get a big bat for the outfield.
