Teach your kids how to speak, pull up their pants and be respectful then I'll not call them thugs.

I told my kids I didn't have much to spend on Christmas this year, and was very pleased to hear both of them say, that gifts were not the meaning of Christmas, and that I supplied all their needs all year long, and they were not worried about not getting presents, they just wanted to enjoy the day with the family!

To all you gangsters out there and wannabe gangsters with your baggy pants that you have to hold up at the crotch and ball caps turned whichever way your gang style reflects, do you even care how stupid you look?

Score: 232

Funny, but those kids who can't afford lunch have cell phones and $200 sneakers.

Dance team of teenage girls can dance as they wish outside of school activities. Someone needs to oust whoever directs these teens - I don't care how mild it was compared to tv - we've all become to complacent in what we think is acceptable.

Paying for groceries with food stamps and loading them in a SUV. What is wrong with this picture?

Score: 209

I think there should be random drug tests welfare and food stamp recipients, after all, most of us working, have to pass drug tests to make the money for them to get handouts!!

Score: 208

The Extreme Makeover foreclosure, like most big time lottery winners, is another example that money can't fix stupid.

Score: 204

To the "young girls" on the dance team who feel degraded-you degraded yourself by doing that dance routine! Don't blame other's for your actions. The girls and the parents should have known better.

Is it just me or does the NAACP seem to start more problems than they solve these days?

The construction company didn't "buy a graveyard"...it bought an overgrown, abandoned, uncared for lot. When they found the graves, the company did the honorable thing. The descendants, however, didn't give a hoot until they smelled a lawsuit.

Our children are supposed to be attending school to get an EDUCATION and be good CITIZENS - not to learn how to be trashy and act like criminals!

Score: 192

Parents of Clayton County please teach your children to show respect to their elders. We have a very serious problem in some schools with students being "extremely" disrespectful!

My ancestors came here LEGALLY, and didn't expect everyone to do business in German to accomodate them.

What is a 17 y/o doing at a nightclub, much less at 4 a.m.? Parents where are you?

Score: 183

Maybe it's time to cut back on all the junk you buy your children at Christmas . Instead, spend some quality time with them teaching them what Christmas is really all about!

Score: 179

So the Jonesboro dance team will be on Tyra. Their parents need to teach them that provocative dancing is nothing to be proud of and flaunt. They should hang their heads in shame not celebrate on TV. Goodness!!

As a young black male, I must say that sagging pants are the dumbest thing ever.

Score: 175

I am not a babysitter. I cannot teach your child respect. That is your job. My job is to teach facts, your job is to teach character.

Score: 174

Yeah....there is a reason the buses have to make two stops within one block. It's too far to walk while carrying a backpack and trying to hold your pants up at the same time.

Score: 174

Finally, a black man who has the guts to stand up against seeing someones underwear hanging out of their pants. THANKS!!!

Score: 173

The Jonesboro "dancers'" dance WAS obscene when you consider how OLD they are and WHERE they performed.

Score: 173

It seems to me that we are punishing educators for the irresponsibility of the parents. Educators are paid to educate/teach our children subject matter and curriculum. It is the parents responsibility to teach proper public behavior and demeanor to include dress and actions.

Score: 169

Notice your order of blame.... teacher, school board, then parent. A parent is a child's "first" teacher. That is where you should begin.

My mother in law brings in $18k/year from pension & retirement and is denied food stamps. Worked hard all her life, paid into the system & when she needs help she gets none.
