Frommer’s Review
Ethnic eateries and Mexican restaurants have flooded the outskirts of Nashville in recent years, but this former taco stand rises above the rest. Now a family-friendly, full-service restaurant, it’s adorned with rustic handmade wood tables and oversized chairs, and colorful wall murals. Crisp, hot tortilla chips, potent salsa, and chunky guacamole are exceptional, as are the enchiladas, flautas, rice, and refried beans. The menu includes tasty little crisp tacos with a long list of fillings, including chorizo and beef tongue. There are also fajitas with chicken, beef, or shrimp. You can get Salvadoran pupusas (corn tortillas), and just about everything comes with fresh house-made tortillas. Wash it all down with a glass of tamarindo.
