Frommer’s Review
Located a few blocks past the Mall at Green Hills, this modern Santa Fe-style restaurant was an instant hit with Nashvillians when it opened several years ago. Although suburban strip malls surround it, both its interior decor and menu manage to do a decent job of conjuring up the new Southwest. While most dishes here tend to cater to spicy-food-lovers, enough tamer offerings are available to satisfy those who aren’t fire-eaters. For the former, there is “rattlesnake” pasta, and for the latter, there is mild tortilla soup. Spinach-and-artichoke dip makes a good starter. You can’t go wrong with an overstuffed black-bean burrito or a juicy cheeseburger. The Green Hills Grille is popular both with businesspeople and families, so you can show up in either jeans or a suit.
