Atlanta's WNBA franchise
The Atlanta Dream of the WNBA began play in 2008. The young franchise got off to a rough start going 4-30 in its inaugural season. But coached by Marynell Meadors, the Dream advanced to the playoffs for three consecutive seasons in 2009 through 2011, reaching the WNBA Finals in 2010 and 2011. The Dream play at Philips Arena and are owned by Mary Brock and Kelly Loeffler.
