Worth Noting

-- Visit timeline: Davis committed to Central Florida and plans on visiting the Orlando school this season. -- Signing odds: Davis says he's "pretty sure" about Central Florida, though a strong senior season could bring new offers. -- Inside info: The Berkmar senior will make the move from defensive lineman to outside linebacker in coach John Thompson's first year with the Patriots. Davis on the switch: "I pretty much thought I'd play linebacker at the next level."

Player Performance

Strengths

Davis, rated as the 19th best weakside linebacker by scout.com, is a very athletic player and an excellent tackler who has the ability to be a great linebacker. But Thompson says Davis' work ethic is his biggest strength.

Questionables

He's still only been a linebacker for about three practice weeks and it should take some time for Davis to become the dominant force Thompson thinks he can be.
