Track top Georgia and national football recruits from high school to college through the NFL / pros with AJC news, updates and more.
An AJC all-state selection on the defensive line, This N.C. State signee projects on the OL in college. Originally from New Orleans, Christophe and his family moved to the metro Atlanta area after Hurricane Katrina, and the athletic lineman was a mainstay in the Wolverines' lineup. Rangy with a wide wingspan, Christophe takes up a lot of space and moves well.
Christophe's frame is his biggest asset. He will probably bulk up once on a college campus, and his frame can more than handle it. His speed and agility are cited most by coach Mike O'Brien, who says that Christophe improved tremendously on his footwork. Undoubtedly, Christophe will play on Saturdays.
Technique is what college coaches have told Christophe he needs to work on most. He has solid footwork but must use his reach and strong arms to better battle defenders. His 40 time is solid, and it is doubtful that he will get any faster. Then again, linemen don't have to make many long runs. The biggest question: Can he improve his stock to get into that upper echelon of the ACC or the SEC?
