There were some disappointing aspects with both goals … But today we came up against a side that is going to be consistently of a decent standard. They took their chances at important times, and I've got no complaints.
I was impressing on the lads at half time that you don’t go a year unbeaten without knowing how to come back, and there were a lot of good performances.

Obviously with Paul leaving he's going to be missed … He was an experienced campaigner who knew exactly what he had to do, inside out, and I'm sure he'll be hard to replace. The gaffer has brought me in to do a job, though, and fingers crossed, if I can keep fit, I can play 40-plus games this season and become a focal point in central midfield.
The lads all know how I work. If players get in the team and take their chance, then they stay in the team for as long as they continue to play well. When you are in the team you play for the team. When you are out of the team you look after yourself and make sure you do everything you possibly can do to be ready for when that chance comes along.
