We will take a hard line because we do not tolerate racist or abusive language of this type. We must first wait though for the outcome of the police investigation into this incident before imposing our sanctions upon this person. The Britannia Stadium is a family environment and it is staggering that in this day and age, people may be subjected to this kind of language.
Racial chanting is a serious offence and will not be tolerated. We are working closely with Stoke City FC to eradicate any offence of this nature. Anyone caught committing this crime will be arrested, charged and brought before the courts.
I hope the fellow is banned for life. We do not want anything like that. Jason is a footballer - it should not matter the colour of his skin.
