Travel: Civil rights sites in the Southeast
If you take a trip during Black History Month, you may want to consider traveling to one of these locations, which have all played a role in African-Americans' struggle toward justice and equality. Some cities have museums or memorials located there; others are sites of proposed memorials. Some of the museums may have special exhibits during February, but most of the attractions are open year-round.
