Confirmed US Cases of Swine Flu

The Center for Disease Control is reporting 10,053 cases and 17 deaths due to Swine Flu in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia.

Thanks to the distribution of a new test kit by the CDC, the number of confirmed cases recently increased by a large degree. The test kits and the increase in more confirmed cases, says the CDC, "provide a more accurate picture of the burden of (the) disease."

The map below shows which states have laboratory confirmed cases of Swine Flu. Each state's marker shows how many cases have occurred in the state, as well as any deaths due to Swine Flu.
