Literary trail shows southern writers' homes

Novelist Carson McCullers lived in this Craftsman-style house in the Wildwood Circle/Hillcrest Historic District of Columbus, Ga., during her childhood. Today it's home to the Carson McCullers Center for Writers and Musicians, affiliated with nearby Columbus State University.
