The Durham Western Heritage Museum housed in the beautifully restored Art Deco Union Station, has preserved the main waiting area to resemble the 1940's era. Statues of soldiers who were being shipped off to the Pacific Front are in the museum with speakers that tell their stories. Lisa Lowe Stauffer / Special
