Omaha: Born from railroad's success, this city has blossomed

Omaha's Cornerstone Mansion, now a bed-and-breakfast inn, was the first house built in what became known as the Gold Coast. The wealthy Yost family, who were prominent in the 1800's, built this 17-room Gothic Revival-style home in 1894 as a wedding gift for their only daughter, Bertha Yost Offutt.
