A figure of Grace McDaniels, who once complained about a publicist calling her "the ugliest woman in the world," is shown on display at the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium in San Francisco. McDaniels, who was billed in sideshows as "the mule-faced woman," had numerous marriage proposals. She eventually accepted one and had a normal son who grew up to become her manager.
