Catholic school becomes quirky hotel
The Old St. Francis School, originally built in 1936 as a Catholic school in Bend, Ore., was purchased by the McMenamin brothers and converted to an inn. It opened to guests in 2004. The inn has 19 guest rooms built into old classrooms and four rental cottages, plus a pub, a restaurant and a movie theater. Liz Devine of McMenamins
