Snapshots from Seoul, Korea
Statue-like Republic of Korea soldiers face north and south guarding the Line of Demarcation in the Demilitarized Zone, a two-mile wide, heavily fortified swath of land that separates North and South Korea from coast to coast. The multi-story building in the distance is in North Korea. The countries still occasionally conduct negotiations in the blue buildings, which are simply furnished with tables and chairs.
