Cabo da Roca, Portugal: Where land meets sea
The Capela de Sao Jeronimo was built in 1514 on a hill overlooking the Tagus River. The architect of the great Mosteiro dos Jeronimos may have designed this chapel as well. Sailors came here to pray before setting out on their voyages. Terese Loeb Kreuzer / Travel Arts Syndicate
