The beauty of Norway

The Fantoft stave church in the outskirts of Bergen is one of several medieval churches in Norway. This church was originally built around 1150 in the remote village of Fortun. It was moved to its present location during the 19th century, but was burned by vandals in 1992. The church was then meticulously rebuilt and reopened to the public in 1997.
