Atlantans get a thrill out of New Zealand
Larnach Castle, built in 1871 by merchant and politician William Larnach for his first wife, Eliza, is just outside Dunedin, New Zealand. The castle has been turned into a bed & breakfast lodge with theme rooms and stunning views overlooking Dunedin and Otago Harbor. The castle is allegedly haunted by the ghost of Mr. Larnach, who committed suicide in the basement after a series of unfortunate events. Peralte Paul / cpaul@ajc.com
