From Herschel to Knowshon: Great UGA running backs
Verron Haynes (2000-01) walked on at Georgia out of New York City, and became one of the most beloved Bulldog backs of the past two decades. He created a semi-legend with his "Hobnail Boot" catch to beat Tennessee in 2001 (right), and his 39-carry, 207-yard effort in a win over Tech that same season. An over-achiever in college, he still enjoys an NFL career with the Steelers.
