Rodney Hampton hailed from Texas and rushed for 2,668 yards from 1987-89. He holds the UGA record for most all-purpose yards in a game, with 290 vs. Ole Miss in 1987. He went on to have an All-Pro career with the New York Giants. Michael A. Schwarz / AJC file
