Georgia vs. Vanderbilt preview
For years, Vanderbilt was a prototypical homecoming opponent. The Commodores will carry a No. 22 national ranking into Saturday's game at Sanford Stadium -- just the fifth time in Georgia football history and the first time in 45 years that the Bulldogs have played a ranked team on homecoming. Of course, this wasn't by design. No one expected Vanderbilt to be 5-1 (3-1 SEC) come Oct. 18. The Bulldogs are 17-3 against the Commodores on homecoming. Bob Andres / bandres@ajc.com
