Chan Gailey through the years

Gailey left Denver for the Birmingham Fire of the World League of American Football. In 1991-92, Gailey had a record of 12-7-1 and made the playoffs each year. But the Fire went out and Gailey had to look for a new job. He stayed in Birmingham, returning to the college ranks in 1993 to coach Samford to a 5-6 record. He next joined the Steelers as wide receivers coach. The Associated Press
