With Georgia playing for the 1980 national championship in the Sugar Bowl, Herschel Walker dislocated his shoulder on his first carry of the game against Notre Dame. Trainers popped it back into place, and Walker returned to rush for 150 yards and two touchdowns. He earned MVP honors as the Bulldogs won their title, 17-10. AJC file
