Who's owned the Atlanta Hawks
During Turner's long period as owner (1976-96), the Hawks enjoyed a number of playoffs appearances and acquired the player most associated with the franchise, Dominique Wilkins (center, in 1982). Time Warner acquired the Hawks as part of its 1996 merger with Turner Broadcasting. AP
