Tony Dorsett: Pitt was one of the nation's losingest football programs when Dorsett arrived in 1973. Taking advantage of the NCAA's new freshmen eligibility rule, Dorsett immediately turned around the school's football fortunes, leading Pitt to a winning record that first year. In four seasons, Dorsett rewrote most of the NCAA's rushing records. He capped his college career by winning the Heisman and leading the undefeated Panthers to the 1976 national title.
