1998 -- With the 12th pick in the first round, the Falcons selected Georgia Tech linebacker Keith Brooking. Then-coach Dan Reeves said he liked Brooking's speed and enthusiasm. Brooking signed with the Cowboys in 2009 after 11 seasons with the Falcons, leading the team in tackles for the final eight. Associated Press
