Falcons open season at the Dome
The Falcons defeated the Detroit Lions 34-21 in their season opener against the Detroit Lions, behind the power running of Turner and the arm of rookie Matt Ryan. Turner ran for 220 yards. Ryan threw for 161 yards and 1 touchdown. Rich Addicks / raddicks@ajc.com
