Bad moments in Falcons' training camp history

The bad training camp moment from 1971 was so obscure that it was hard finding a photo for it. Coach Norm Van Brocklin (shown here during his playing days) and the team drafted defensive tackle Mike Potchad out of Pittsburg (Kan.) State in the fourth round. Potchad walked out of training camp in less than two weeks. "When he came to camp, he had just married some hippie girl who had floated through town," former team executive Tom Braatz said.
