Braves' Mike Hampton's career
As far as pitchers go, Hampton has always been regarded as a good hitter. He has a .242 lifetime batting average with 15 home runs (tied for 18th all-time amongst pitchers). From 1999-2003, Hampton would win 5 consecutive Silver Slugger Awards. He is the first pitcher to win the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards in the same season, 2003. Associated Press
