Braves' Mike Hampton's career
The Colorado Rockies signed Hampton to the 22nd largest contract in sports in the 2000 off-season. (He will earn $15 million from the Braves this season.) In his two years in Colorado he went 14-13 with a 5.12 ERA and 7-15 with a 6.15 ERA. He would be shipped to Florida and then to the Braves. Associated Press
