Say it ain't so: Sports heroes who left Atlanta

Steve Bartkowski was the Falcons' first "golden boy" QB, some 30 years before Matt Ryan swept into town. Bartkowski was the No. 1 pick of the 1975 draft, and, despite an injury-plagued career, still holds a slew of team passing records. After being relegated to a backup role in 1985, he was granted his release. He played briefly with the Redskins and Rams before retiring in 1986. He was among the inaugural inductees of the Falcons' Ring of Honor. Getty Images
