Winners of note from Atlanta's PGA Tour stop
After a 19-year absence on the Tour schedule, the event was reborn as the Atlanta Classic in 1967. Jack Nicklaus was in his prime when he won it in 1973 at the Atlanta Country Club. The event remained at the ACC until 1997, when it moved to the TPC at Sugarloaf.
