Contract workers from Ronnie D. Jones Enterprises from Newnam worked early Wednesday to scrape sidewalks and spread sand on downtown Atlanta streets. Many sidewalks in the city had a thick coat of glazed ice, creating hazardous walking conditions for workers who were beginning to show back up, or for travelers stuck in town.
