Metro Atlanta's New Deal projects
To try to get the economy moving during the Great Depression, President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal unleashed a wave of federal programs designed to get Americans working. Here are some of the results of those programs about 75 years later. Morningside Elementary School opened in 1929, but the current building was commissioned and built in 1935.
