58th annual Old Soldiers Day Parade
John Mortenson performs "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes in downtown Alpharetta before the Old Soldiers Day Parade. The city of Alpharetta and the American Legion Post 201 hosted the 58th annual Old Soldiers Day parade. The parade first began in the 1920s as a tribute to Civil War veterans, was discontinued after a few years and then rejuvenated in the 1950s. Chris Dunn, cdunn@ajc.com
